Jewish Services in Bratislava with an English Speaking Rabbi
By Daniel Sukup
Bratislava, December 21, 2010 (BratislavaGuide.com) - Being a tourist in a foreign country does not necessarily mean that there is no church service available for you. Many cities have religion services for foreigners and Bratislava is not an exception.
The Jewish community in Bratislava is quite active and offers regular services. According to the website of The Jewish Educational Centre of Slovakia, they hold the prayer service in the synagogue at Heydukova 11-13 street on Friday evening at 7 pm and Saturday morning at 9 am. You can access the Jewish Educational Center of Slovakia website here. As service times are liable to change based on the time of sunset, it is best to send an email to Chabad Slovakia through this webform to double check on the time - Baruch Myers, an American, has been Chief Rabbi in Bratislava since 1993, and he and his family are part of the foundation of the local community.
